So now that the Laser is back up and running (I don't think I got that posted here.  Just on the OWC facebook.  sorry.  I'll try and be better about that.), that gave the cue to the CNC to start acting up.  Well, to its credit, it's not the CNC machine itself....It's the spindle.  The doohickey that holds the engraving bit.   Yesterday, I just happened to take some video of the CNC running smoothly.  It's engraving the "Peacock" design on aluminum. 

Morning! Josh has been in Texas all week, so it's been a bit more chaotic than usual. Not too bad...Working from home, I'm usually the one doing the kid and errand running...and food and house stuff. But when he is away, there's just not as much quiet time (for me) from our chatty cutie pies. His traveling for work isn't a new thing, we're used to the routine of it all--well, as used to it as you can get. Hammered Copper set heading out the door to FL.   Next up on the work bench--- a  silver set I've been putting together bit by bit between orders. Production work can get tedious. It's nice to have a completely random set in the works....keeps the creative juices flowing.

The answer to the riddle: My latest work equipment purchase: a laser engraver. To say it's been a weird and frustrating experience is an understatement. I purchased this laser engraver mid September 2018. I haven't had any appreciable time on it, as things keep breaking. The latest was the recent software upgrade. The company pushed it out. It broke my machine. So I "got to" completely disassemble my machine and ship the control stack back to them for re-imaging. I shipped it Thursday. And now I wait.
